Karlovic would like to strike few more aces

His appearance is impressive , 211 cm tall Croatian tennis player Ivo Karlovic , inspiring fear and trembling , until the first greetings when the conversation with this giant turns into pleasure. The " King of Aces” talked and shared part of his extremely rich tennis career. No one, even " small" Ivo didn`t expect that one day he will be the king of aces .

- No , I don`t expected that so long I will play and be active , i`m happy that I managed to achieve this and I hope that health will hold me for several years and I can "strike " a few more aces - said Karlovic

Croatia is well known as basketball nation, 211 cm high Karlovic certainly would be fear and trembling under the hoop if he decide to replace tennis with basketball.

-Yes of course, but from my young ages i loved tennis, and there wasn’t big desire to play with the orange ball. Tennis offered me a lot of pleasant moments and enabled me great life and I think I didn’t make the wrong call. If I can choose again, then i`ll chose tennis once more – said Karlovic, who after 16 years of active tennis has earned over $ 6.7 million.

According to him , tennis in recent years is quite advanced from that tennis when he started to play .

- In tennis these days is superb professionalism, then at that time was more like amateur sport. Today all have coach, conditional coach, masseur , agencies that take care of every detail in and outside the court. All this increases competition and all play amazing.

This year in Vienna confirmed last year's success by reaching the quarterfinals. That was his last stop after a defeat from the Letonian Gulbis 76,76 .What is harder to play against the big names or against small players?

- In any case I would like to play against small to the finals , but of course that is imposible, you have to play against the big names to win tournaments - said Karlovic who served 10326 aces in his carrier.

With 36 years he is the oldest player among the top 100 , he is one of the few players that has a positive score against world no 1. Novak Djokovic . Will there be a chance for Ivo to improve that score .

- I have a 3-1 record against him, and i will be pleased to met him in the final of a Grand Slam tournament.So if i get there i`ll let him beat me , i`ll not have anything against - ended Karlovic
